Tcherassi Hotel, a jewel in Cartagena, Columbia

After an extensive restoration, a 250-year-old colonial mansion comes to life in the heart of Cartagena's old city. Entirely renovated by Columbian-born fashion designer Sylvia Tcherassi, the Tcherassi's boutique-hotel features seven rooms and suites, an holistic spa with treatments like chocolate therapy and bamboo massages, a roof deck with magnificent views of both the historic city and the sea. Minimal and modern, all the guest rooms come with 14-foot wood-beamed ceilings and are named after elegant fabrics used in Tcherassi's fashion collections; voilee, ziberline, organdie, mousseline, peau de soie, radzimir and gazar.
