Northern Women in CHANEL

The visionary duo, photographer Peter Farago and stylist Ingela Klemetz-Farago, belongs to one of the most creative teams of today's fashion photography. As part of a unique collaboration with Chanel in 2010 and 2011, the Faragos created full fashion stories featuring 46 supermodels from the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Freja Beha Erichsen, Helena Christensen, Sigrid Agren, Siri Tollerod, Frida Gustavsson and Caroline Winberg are just a few of the women involved in the project. The models have been carefully chosen to represent an aesthetic flair for fashion but also a desire to convey a sense of humanity.

This exclusive collaboration has resulted in a lavish book and a traveling photography exhibition throughout the world. Profits from sales of the book will be donated to the organization Save the Children.

These photographs not only celebrate the fascinating designs they record, but also produce sensational reinventions, demonstrating how fashion, photography and art can come together.

The centre of contemporary photography Fotografiska, in Stockholm, will be the starting point of this inspirational fashion journey. The opening of the exhibition and the book launch party will take place on June 30th, 2011. Northern Women in CHANEL will be published by Farago Publishing and sold in a limited edition, as of July 2011.
